Federico Ordoñez & Irene Álvarez |
Federico Ordoñez is considered to be one of today’s greatest flamenco dancing talents.
Having performed with several dancing companies at home and abroad, he soon chose his own path, leading him to perform in e.g. Bozar and Flagey.
Federico however still wanted more and so he took a completion course in Sevilla, where he became member of a local flamenco dancing company. Furthermore, it was during this stay that he met local dancer Irene Álvarez.
Along with singer Carmen Fernandez and guitar players Diego Rocha and El Rizos, he created “DOS”.
The dancing couple combines sheer force and technique with elegance and femininity, but above all they emphasize pure expressions.
This is a performance in which both dancers interact perfectly.
Emotions such as sensuality, seduction, love and conflict are all skilfully expressed in this inspiring flamenco performance.

Irene Álvarez had a thorough flamenco training in Sevilla, under the guidance of famous dancer and teacher Matilde Coral.
In addition she followed numerous courses with the most varying and important dancers of Jerez.
Quite a remarkable training, in the two cities that have been competing for the title of “capital of the flamenco” for ages.
As a result, her style is purely classical and reminds us of the famous Sevillan school, which she manages to enhance all the more with her personal and fine elegance.
Next to her training with Matilde Coral, which she commenced at the age of 9, she also finished a formation at the Real Conservatorio de Musica y Danza Sevilla, where she got her degree not only in flamenco but also in classical Spanish dance, ballet and bolero.
Being a true Sevillana, she evidently also masters the Sevillanas. These are coupling dances that mark her home town, but which have meanwhile gained a reputation in all of Spain and even around the world. In this dance as well, she constantly excels with a highly spontaneous and pure style.
