Laura Vital Gálvez was born in 1980 in Cádiz and grew up in a poetical environment, the region of Sanlúcar de Barrameda.

Ever since her triumph at the Biënal de Sevilla , she counts as one of the main representatives of a remarkable new generation of Cantaores; a generation that shows much respect for the traditions and the Old Masters of Flamenco, but at the same time is open to new influences.

Cante Jondo, Cante Festero,… Laura Vital dominates an unprecedented number of Palos and excels specifically in her performance of Seguiriyas, Soleares, Bulerias, Malagueñas and Fandangos. Besides of that, she cherishes the tide link she has with her home ground : Cádiz and Sanlúcar. This has resulted in a unique talent for the performance of all Palos which are considered part of the pedigree of Cantiñas.

Very few sing Caracoles, Mirabrás or Alegrias like she does. She can’t go wrong anymore for the puros , since she took back and restored an ancient and nearly disappeared Palo called “Rosas”. Now she counts as one of the few singers who master this Palo.
