Javier Conde is a young flamenco guitar soloist who is extremely gifted and who has an exquisite technique.
In spite of his young age (he was born on 25 December 1988), he already obtained some of the most prestigious flamenco prizes in Spain:
- “Ateneo de Cordoba 2002”
- “Ciudad de Jaen 2003”
- “Torre del Cante” in Alhaurin del Torre, Malaga 2004
- “Bordon Minero” at the Cante de las Minas Festival in La Union, Murcia 2004
Javier took up guitar playing at the age of four, under the direction of his father Jose Antonio Conde, a professional guitar player who is highly regarded in the world of flamenco, he himself being a former pupil of maestro Andrès Batista.
Javier Conde’s unique talent convinced his father to fully focus on the training of his son. The pair was soon asked to perform in home town Caceres (Extremadura) and they had the opportunity to perform with grand names such as Manolo Sanlucar, Victor Monge “Serranito”, Enrique de Melchor, Juan Peña “Lebrijano”, Jose Merce and many others.
Some of his most important performances:
In Spain:
- “El Flamenco Viene del Sur” in Granada, Malaga and Sevilla.
- “Festival de Jerez”
- The Madrid flamenco festival
- “Cordoba Guitar Festival”
International:
- Flamenco festival of Nîmes, France
- The “International Guitar festivals” of Treviso, Rome and Syracuse (Italy), Kastoria (Greece) and Belgrade (Serbia).
Javier Conde is still experiencing a smooth and swift artistic evolution. He continually and visibly progresses in terms of technique and repertoire.
This frequently results in lyrical critiques - national as well as international. |
